Much of the Bible cannot be understand outside of the land of Israel. This course considers the unique historical, geographic, and archaeological significance of Israel as it relates to the Hebrew Bible and Jesus.
Most of the letters of the New Testament were written to or from Christians living in modern Turkey. This course visits the most significant centers of early Christianity, including where the apostle John lived.
The apostle Paul's most famous letters were written to Christians living in modern Greece. This course features several the cities where Paul lived and ministered, with a focus on Paul's context in the Greco-Roman world.
